Laundry day

Even laundry seems enchanting in Italy. How can it be? Although you see these clotheslines everywhere in Italy, in Burano the experience is that much more intense because every inhalation is heavy with the intoxicatingly sweet smell of fresh laundry.

Beautiful photos. There's always visual poetry and sentiment in the most mundane of tasks :D

Lovely!

Laundry days in Italy are definitely something to savor, and celebrate.

A few of my own laundry days in Italy (one of which is actually titled "Laundry Day" and features a colorful clothesline of stuffed animals), and one in Korcula (Croatia) -

Beautiful images. I've never been in Italy, but seams a good place to visit... Maybe one day, I can inhale the sweet smell of fresh laundry.

These are very bright pictures, and something so different that can capture a culture in a very specific way - laundry!! Of course!!

Are you in Italy?

These pictures are gorgeous! It is always easy to find pretty "laundry spots" in Italy, but it's not always easy to capture them in this pretty unique way.

Thank you everyone!
Marisa: Your laundry shots are fabulous!
Simone: I was in Italy in May. It's a wonderful time to be there.

Ooooo...laundry is enchanting in Italy. I'm jealous. I was just thinking to myself how much I dislike doing so much laundry (i have 3 little ones). I'd rather smell the clean laundry and take pictures of it all hung on the line.

My laundry day never looks like this... maybe I need to move to Italy?

Laundry day looks cool in Lancaster Pa. too... then again not mine. ;)
